هذه الأعمال اليدوية المصنوعة من الطين تمثل منازل مقترحة لطيور مدينتنا، دبي. صُممت لتُعلَّق بين الأشجار وفي الحدائق أو الشُرفات، لتكون بمثابة إيماءات محبة وسلام تحتفي بصلتنا الأزلية بالطبيعة، وتدعونا إلى تأمل الانسجام الهادئ الذي يحيط بنا. كل عمل في هذه المجموعة هو هدية متواضعة، مُشكَّلة باليد وبكثير من العناية والتأمل، لتستقر في ظلال الأشجار أو تتدلى في زوايا البيوت والأماكن العامة، كي تتنفس هواء السماء.
ومع ارتفاع المباني واشتداد التلوث الضوئي، تضررت مسارات ارتحال الطيور عبر الفصول، إذ أنها لطالما اهتدت بالنجوم في هجرتها. لكن بفعل الغبار الكثيف وحجب الرؤية والأضواء المبهرة، صار من العسير عليها أن تجد طريقها إلى أوطانها، فتتوه وتضطر إلى الاستقرار حيث يتوافر المأوى والغذاء.
يحمل هذا العمل بُعده الفني والرمزي الخالص، معتمداً على أدوات وخامات تعزز حضوره شكلاً وجمالاً كعمل تركيبي، لكنه يسعى في الوقت نفسه إلى أن يكون نافعاً وصديقاً، عبر أداء وظيفة حسية ملموسة. فالقطع المصنوعة بأسلوب عضوي وبطابع بدائي يمكن أن توفر للطيور مأوى مريحاً، بينما يأتي اختيار الألوان الفسفورية كطلاء خارجي كافتراض بأنها قد تتحول إلى دلائل بصرية تساعد الطيور على العثور على بيوتها. هذه البيوت والمراجيح قد تصبح عالماً صديقاً، مؤقتاً أو دائماً… على أمل أن تجد فيه الطيور مأواها، وأن تحبه.
These handmade clay works represent suggested homes for the birds of our city, Dubai. They were designed to be hung among trees, in gardens, or on balconies, serving as gestures of love and peace that celebrate our eternal bond with nature and invite us to contemplate the quiet harmony that surrounds us. Each piece in this collection is a humble gift, shaped by hand with great care and reflection, resting in the shade of trees or suspended in the corners of houses and public spaces, breathing the air of the sky.
With the rise of buildings and the intensification of light pollution, the migratory paths of birds across the seasons have been disrupted, as they have long relied on the stars to guide them. But with heavy dust, obscured skies, and dazzling lights, it has become increasingly difficult for them to find their way home. Many are lost and forced to settle wherever shelter and food are available.
This work carries its purely artistic and symbolic dimension, relying on tools and materials that enhance its presence as an installation piece, while also aspiring to be useful and friendly by fulfilling a tangible sensory function. The organically shaped and primitively crafted pieces may serve as a comfortable refuge for birds, while the use of phosphorescent colors as an outer coating emerges as a hypothesis that they might become visual markers to help birds find their homes. These houses and swings may thus turn into a welcoming world, temporary or permanent… in the hope that the birds will find refuge within them, and love them.
