When the surrounding noise becomes deafening, we search within for a safe haven for our souls. We dive inside our inner world and barricade ourselves in isolation to seek the quiet we need. We may think that we have left the noise at

the door, unaware that we have taken it with us, down to its smallest detail; the shapes of passers-by, their faces, their voices, their feelings, their colors, and their shades, their laughs and their cries, their lamentation, and their sarcasm, their resentment and their gratefulness, their steps, their words…

We carefully lock everything in our consciousness and sometimes even allow them to infiltrate our senses and reach the deepest point of our existence.

 

Down the line, we find out that we have

surrendered bit by bit to this tremendous tide of leverage that others have on us.

We are, in a way or another, passing through the sidelines of someone’s pathway, just as they are passing through ours. We become their noise and they become ours.

 

On one hand, this work represents the moments where I crossed path with those who left a legacy in my mind, memories I couldn’t erase. I brought them here to let them speak for themselves and to leave some of their prints and noises in this space.
